I’ve been practicing with eating using chopsticks whenever I’ve had the chance to eat at the local Japanese restaurant. Just this afternoon, after ordering a chicken bento with my brother, I’ve decided I’m already good at it.

Now I can say that I won’t go hungry if I’d go to Japan or China or some other place where people primarily eat using chopsticks.

Filled up my piggy bank

Finally checked one item off my 43things - “fill up my piggy bank.”

In case you’re wondering, the total amount inside was P1,981 (pretty amazing, I was born in 1980 - so it was just a peso more, I wonder what that could mean). I’ll be using that money to buy gifts for my siblings and cousins this Christmas.

This week, I just might buy another piggy bank that’s twice bigger than the previous one. Then, it’ll be approximately P4,000 when it’s completely filled up - just enough to buy a new DVD burner :)

Sit straight, don’t slouch…

A friendly health reminder for all of us who have to sit for hours straight staring at the monitor writing arcane programming syntax.

Gugmang gi-ahak…

Most people perceive me as cold, insensitive, aloof, even snotty.

What people never knew is that whenever there’s someone I really like (infatuation or otherwise), I can be as kilig as the typical progesterone-overdosed pubescent girl. Ask my brother, he’s probably gotten sick of listening to my mush-filled bedtime ramblings.

Maybe it’s time to find a girlfriend. Not having one is dangerous to your health.

Breakfast of champions

Ah, breakfast…

… Lucky Me! Supreme Palabok (eat one of these everyday and you’ll get mid-life cancer with all the preservatives), Energen Cereal Drink (John, the guy who does the office shopping says it’s more nutritious than Nesvita), Nagaraya, and Clusivol (dahil mahirap magkasakit).

One of perks of my current job - free breakfast and snacks (just raid the fridge or the snack cabinet).

Sleep is the enemy

I’ve been awake for more than 24 hours already. I remember waking up from an afternoon nap yesterday at 4PM (so that makes it more or less 25 hours and 40 minutes).

So how did I do it? Here’s how:

  • Four cups of coffee from 1AM to 5AM
  • Two sachets Extra-Joss. One taken around 1AM and another at 8AM
  • One capsule Clusivol
  • 15-minute naps whenever you get drowsy
