I’m looking for a hosting service
I’m thinking about putting my blog on a real hosting service. Any recommendations?
Would also like to know if it’ll be better to have a “catch-all” blog or to have two or three blogs that are more focused on certain topics? In the latter case, I just might split the current blog into (1) personal blog (2) technical/work-related blog, and (3) movie reviews blog.
What do you guys think?

An excellent service for hosting your blog would be BryteNet (http://brytenet.com/). Note: I am affiliated with BryteNet.
As for splitting up your blog, why not do both? Keep a catch-all blog with all your posts, but offer a personal and a tech blog as well.

Won’t it be harder and more time-consuming to maintain three blogs?

Me thinks you should maintain at the most two. One personal, which can include your movie reviews, and the second for technical rants and inputs. I personally don’t mind making mine a catch-all, but I do have my LJ account to maintain.

thanks for the recommendations. i think i just might have to settle with Ploghost (http://www.ploghost.com). they seem to offer really competitive prices and just the features I need.
still have to decide on the blog-splitting thingie.
